Hatch Chile is named after the original growing area in Hatch, New Mexico. Authentic Hatch Chiles are truly a Southwestern favorite. Hatch Chiles have a meaty flesh and mild-medium heat making them ideal for use in Chile Con Queso, Chile Rellenos, and Chile Verde. They are also great for roasting, cooking in soups and/or stews, and making delicious dips.
Note that Hatch Chiles have a very short season of less than two months, so enjoy the season while it lasts.
