BEANS (FRESH/SHELLING)

Black Eye Pea: Although they are called peas, but these are actually beans. They are more popular in the southern United States.

Cranberry Bean: After shelling, these beans can be used like any other shelled beans.

Fava Bean: This is actually a member of the pea family. The pale green bean comes in a large light-green pea pod. It can be eaten stewed, sauteed, or raw in a salad.

Garbanzo (Chick Pea): These round beans have a soft texture and a nutty flavor similar to chestnuts. They are often used in soups, salads, and stews.
